Even when the stars smile at us
From the speckled sky we view the same
When the weighted time passes so easily by
Falling like a meteor
though the sky
Beautiful, sparkling, shattered glass
Obstructs my view.
If we looked to this sky
Through a window too hopeful
We’d never see the consequences
Until we were stabbed by the shards
Of broken glass.
But even through this shattered dream
Through this blood stained regret
Of a fear still unknown,
I know the stars are more beautiful
When I’m with you.
