Subject: An Introduction
Dear Young People,
Many years ago, my friend Fran encouraged me to share my pearls of wisdom. The community bulletin board at the Senior Center seemed like a natural place. But this medium was over-run by lost dog notices (no one cared for Francine’s Bichon Frisé) and advertisements for used mobility scooters. A more suitable place was needed for an enlightened discussion on Jell-O molds and good Christian living. My nephew suggested I try Twitter. My nephew, Lyle, as many of you know, came to live with me in hopes of finding a career in Hollywood. I tried to enlighten his parents that Vaca Muerta Estates is several hours away from the land of magic. But it was closer than Kansas City, and hence he moved here. I was hoping this would be a temporary move for my industrious nephew. However, he has continued to dash my hopes, while cluttering my house with his botany projects. I posted my first pearl to Twitter on September 2015. The response was overwhelming. I was asked to write a book, appear on a talk show, interview with online magazines, and even advertise Buicks. But my duties as president of the homeowner’s association, director of the Funeral Luncheon Committee, Murder Hornet Task Force, and the Architectural Control Committee, take up considerable amount of my personal time. However it is time to expand my horizons, and move my pearls to Mastodon. Here is just a brief introduction. I hope you enjoy my wisdom.
Yours truly,
Myrna
