@Aurora Had the same problem. Advice received was to place "wildcard" or "genrebending" books on the most popular genre, which is YA and scifi. It feels uncomfortable putting your work in a specific box where it doesn't really fit in, but that's often the only way to introduce your book to more readers.

@dhwrtr @shell These stuff have been suggested (by me and others) to the Mastodon devs at github but they marked it as "closed, not planned". Bummer. They've been very busy adding trivial updates recently though. 🤷‍♂️
