Woohboy… that’s too much slop on a Friday. 🥴

@jsnell @stroughtonsmith
This, among other things, is exactly the same ask that Microsoft asked of developers when they launched windows phone 8 with the People Hub, asking brands to consolidate into their homogenous interface for every message app.

Did not work then, will not work for apple either.

@nopatience so bad.

I keep clamoring to the fact that I once signed up using Apple account. And we have been alternating between plans with literally 1 click. Not sure if I can cancel without moving to their way of doing it…

For every bad this Apple make developers do, this is one of the strengths for end users at least.

If someone finds this post, here is the answer 😊

@[email protected] And that mystery solved; that was quick! “To help ensure that your AirPods microphones and speakers are operating at their best (for example, to help provide high-quality hearing test results), your AirPods may periodically play a quiet chime when they’re in their charging case.” Source: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/airpods/devd9aac5b42/web

@tuckerjj @caseyliss ah! thank you for finding this!

Only once my wife heard it too, I knew I was not imagine this 😊

@atpfm @marcoarment @siracusa This is the sound recorded that my Airpods make, been wondering the exact same thing as @caseyliss 😄

I had a similar experience as John did with his freezer until i realized it was the AirPods that was making the sound.

FHIOT everyone!

This video of John Batiste hearing “Holiday" by Green Day for the first time and inventing a piano part is an absolute delight. And he seems like maybe the most joyous human alive?

@siracusa Thanks! I realize I missed to make my intitial take between the S95B for $1700 vs an LG C3 at about $2500 (roughly converted from my currency).

S95C is going for $4200 vs A95L at $4900.

Probably going to aim for a C3.

@siracusa TV-buying question. I am a current LG OLED owner, 5+ years in use and looking to replace it. Can’t really swing for the Sony A95K(L) right now, but have the Samsung S95B available for $1700, would you still go for QD-OLED over say, for example LG C3 (that prob will drop down to somewhat close to $1700 in a month or two)?
