So is anyone else using Linux having discord be total ass today?
Like why are you putting *the takumi mobile* into the game, but not giving me control over the transmission so I can actually drift?
This is cruel, Rockstar.

It really is fucked up how much of gta online revolves around expensive cars, only for the game being mechanically kinda stinky for driving

Like yeah I've had a lot of fun driving in gta online, but I always missed having a manual transmission, or tuning that went beyond straight upgrades

It's not even the damn bird site anymore, shit's really going downhill

There really is something fucked up about how many times """we""" (specifically the top dog of the USSR\Russia and the top dog of the US, effectively literally 2 individuals) have come come to just... curtaincalling the whole fucking species via nuclear armageddon

That's insanity.
A few mistakes in there, and I was never even born

no youtube, don't hide the shorts for 30 days
hide them permanently, please
I never want to watch a youtube short, ideally I wouldn't know they existed but we already fucked that one up didn't we?

Like I think my BIG gripe with tactical view specifically boils down to this:
If you can use the regular camera angle, that's generally better for getting a good sense of the terrain, what's above or below, etc.

Conceptually, the tactical view is for when the regular camera just doesn't quite cut it because you need to visualize raw x,y coordinates to plan your moves.
Problems:
-If the terrain is such that the regular camera makes this a problem, the tactical view is, invariably, even worse.
-If the terrain is such that the tactical view is suited for this task, it's an open enough space that regular camera poses no issues.

"Consider the tactical view (O) m'lady"
I'm sorry to inform you that the tactical view is actually dogshit and actually makes it impossible to target units in various positions in quite a few encounter locations.

Notably, in the room right outside the doc's office in the creché. The beams appear on tactical camera, and if someone stands under one, you literally can not target them (Obviously, you can use the initiative portraits, so not horrendous)
More problematic though, is that this issue also applies to the floor said enemy may be standing on. You can't move there in tactical view.

And this is a problem I've encountered so often, I have yet to actually make an input in tactical view, and I'm about to finish the damn game.
Every time I press O, the camera shifts all cinematic into this top down, but claustrophobicly zoomed in view, and there's always some bullshit in the way somewhere.

This would be somewhat acceptable if this included the aforementioned high ledges and such I may want to fly up to, but in my experience, it... it does not.
Those are either ABOVE THE FUCKING CAMERA or transparent anyway.

Perhaps those are sometimes simply out of reach, and that's somewhat valid, maybe it's just too high up to fly there from where I'm standing and I gotta get a bit further up first.
This would be an acceptable reason, if not for the glaring issue:
How am I going to see whether I will be able to make it up there by moving to higher ground (ideally THIS turn) if I can't even see the fucking thing?

If getting to that higher ground still leaves me JUST short on movement to make it up, I have now wasted my turn, a turn I could have spent dealing damage or whatever.

I actually do really enjoy the game, it's genuinely fucking good, but man are there a lot of little THINGS that build up over the course of a playthrough. Usually small, sometimes more significant but just-deal-with-it tier severity, but importantly: numerous.
You're not going to get mad the first time you accidentally hit thin air because the enemy's animation moved the model JUST off your mouse as you hit M1. The second time you're going to be a bit peeved, but whatever.
The 10th time, you're going to start feeling a little heated

Another minor complaint I have with Baldur's Gate, though it's actually a pretty big complaint at times is the lack of a "level" toggle
Like for the terrain
I have the ability to fly, so sometimes I wanna abuse that by flying to a platform above me. However, I can not SEE UP THERE half the time because of the actually really bad camera controls

Let me zoom out more.

Hopefully, there will be mods to solve a lot of these misc problems and annoyances

A cool feature would be for images to be scanned for text if posted without alt text, and before the post actually gets, well, posted, you get a question box like "You didn't provide alt text. Is the following text the content of the image?" or whatever. Ideally with an option to edit that text because of like, tweet screenshots and the like.
Dunno how easy that is to accomplish, obviously.
