"Consider the tactical view (O) m'lady"
I'm sorry to inform you that the tactical view is actually dogshit and actually makes it impossible to target units in various positions in quite a few encounter locations.
Notably, in the room right outside the doc's office in the creché. The beams appear on tactical camera, and if someone stands under one, you literally can not target them (Obviously, you can use the initiative portraits, so not horrendous)
More problematic though, is that this issue also applies to the floor said enemy may be standing on. You can't move there in tactical view.
And this is a problem I've encountered so often, I have yet to actually make an input in tactical view, and I'm about to finish the damn game.
Every time I press O, the camera shifts all cinematic into this top down, but claustrophobicly zoomed in view, and there's always some bullshit in the way somewhere.
This would be somewhat acceptable if this included the aforementioned high ledges and such I may want to fly up to, but in my experience, it... it does not.
Those are either ABOVE THE FUCKING CAMERA or transparent anyway.
Perhaps those are sometimes simply out of reach, and that's somewhat valid, maybe it's just too high up to fly there from where I'm standing and I gotta get a bit further up first.
This would be an acceptable reason, if not for the glaring issue:
How am I going to see whether I will be able to make it up there by moving to higher ground (ideally THIS turn) if I can't even see the fucking thing?
If getting to that higher ground still leaves me JUST short on movement to make it up, I have now wasted my turn, a turn I could have spent dealing damage or whatever.
I actually do really enjoy the game, it's genuinely fucking good, but man are there a lot of little THINGS that build up over the course of a playthrough. Usually small, sometimes more significant but just-deal-with-it tier severity, but importantly: numerous.
You're not going to get mad the first time you accidentally hit thin air because the enemy's animation moved the model JUST off your mouse as you hit M1. The second time you're going to be a bit peeved, but whatever.
The 10th time, you're going to start feeling a little heated
