Tämän aamun pyöräily oli taas hyvin mielenkiintoista. Viereinen Itäväylä oli kolattu puhtaaksi sellaisella voimalla, että idästä keskustaan vievä pyöräväylä oli puolimetrisen suolaloskakerroksen alla. Tämä ei vastaa käsitystäni priorisoidun kulkumuodon kulkuväylästä.

I lost my faith in humanity again last weekend. This young gray seal was laying on a beach in northern Denmark. It had rope tangled around its neck, which was bad enough. But it was also constantly harassed by a group of 15-20 tourists, some with dogs, taking selfies with the poor, stressed animal. I went and yelled at them, but they didn't stop. The seal almost bit a child, who learned from the surrounding adults that running around the animal, yelling and making poses is OK.

My impression of Denmark so far is that it is mostly sand.

I love that I get to read obscure theses from the nineties about heaths at work (for teaching!). There's often so much insightful speculation in these older works that would be pruned away in more modern articles.
