Mostly FT8 and fldigi Extra Class ham with a second hand IC-7300 and a new G5RVjr antenna. First licensed in 1998, took a long hiatus, and am back into the hobby after finding an awesome club and upgrading to General.
Anyone have experience with #lora #meshtastic ? My club is considering putting a node on an old tower. What do you like about it? How do you use it? Thanks! #hamradio

What is your oldest radio you regularly use? How/when did you get it?
I’ll go first: Alinco DJ-C5 I use to monitor local repeaters when I’m cooking dinner. It will only hit one or two from the kitchen, but gives me a good idea of activity when I’m away from my shack. I have the pair of them my dad bought brand new in 1999. When went on a ski trip together in Utah and tried to use them on the mountain, too windy to hear them, and too cold to try for long, but still a good memory

I am getting a Yaesu FT-23r for free from a friend. Does anyone here have a source for the drop in tone board (FTS-12). I see one listed on eBay for $100, but it doesn’t even have a picture of the board, just the box. Thanks! #hamradio
