At least seven people have died, and major roads cut off after heavy rains led to flooding in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Friday night due to an overwhelmed drainage system and a growing urban population. The regional administration spokesperson told The Associated Press on Saturday that rescue efforts were ongoing. Somalia has in the past suffered extreme climate shocks that include prolonged dry seasons that have caused drought and heavy rains that have resulted in floods.
BYD had problems with energy efficiency probably mostly because of a heavier LFP battery than most cars and also using wider tires. Hopefully this new model is a start in a new direction.

Roll out of chargers is really fast! This will allow BYD models on the new super-e plattform to charge 4 times faster peak speed than Tesla's models in China.
Roll out of the new BYD flash charging models and infrastructure can take 2-3 years. It will start being available in April. BYD being vertically integrated can probably do this roll out faster than anyone and will cooperate to build infrastructure with companies as Sinopec.
BYD battery and charging tech using LFP chemistry is now reaching levels promised in all solid-state batteries. This is pushing the bar for all companies developing breakthrough tech.

With first deliveries in April this looks like the end of the fossil transports. The key thing is extreme charging speeds, extremely powerful motors on not very expensive models. This is a company that really knows how to scale production fast.
It is really mind blowing. It will be very interesting to see the cars role out and if this battery will show up soon in cheaper more efficient cars.
