The absolute barking "The Line" project in Saudia Arabia is now mostly dead - https://ig.ft.com/saudi-neom-line/ or https://archive.is/H6Sdb but I recommend the former if you can due to the interactive graphics that show just how bonkers the scale of the project really was.

This graphic shows an initial phase of 2.4km - the full length was to be 170km (from London to the Norfolk coast).

The level of engineering & financial infeasability in the project is just incredible.
