I made a vanilla custard this evening and then @micahilbery made it into a gorgeous dessert bowl with nilla wafers and fresh bananas and strawberries 🍓
I’m trying to make two new items per month this year, I want to enjoy cooking but haven’t for years- tonight was a success!
They are by zero means perfect, but my first attempt at book bonding had produced two items that resemble notebooks or journals

Safe human vibes strike again! Today while at skyzone with my 8 year old:
a random child ran up to me, sat down basically in my lap, and proceeded to tell me everything they knew about #pokemon before they ran off to go play again. I hope their grown-up was close?
A different child (still not mine) came and grabbed me by the hand and wanted me to watch them doing the ninja course.
Walking my kid to school today, we typically talk about the upcoming day:
Kid- yeah, our final test is today and I hope I do good on it.
Me- oh, what is the test on?
Kid- confidently: “paper.”
Oh, good.
