Site admin and oft-lurking vTube fan.

My goal is to discover, encourage, and promote as many small vTubers as I can with the free time I can spare.

I'm also husband, father, & a full stack software engineer. When not otherwise occupied I go sailing, preferably with friends!

vTube.community went down for a few hours Christmas Eve night. Not sure exactly why yet, looking into it.
A server reboot got us going again.
Will reply with updates as they come.

@TsukiHaseo nope, Twitter seems to have walked back that policy and deleted their tweets about it, likely because it runs afoul of EU regulations.
An experiment to see how seriously Twitter actually takes their new arbitrary social media rules.

Put a link to my instance in my Twitter bio, curious to see if I get banned. Hoping I do, would be incredibly petty of them to ban my 0 follower Twitter for having a tiny Mastodon instance- but them's the "rules" now.

@LilyKuroShiro I feel the same; not necessarily a bad thing- just means you know you're capable of reaching higher!
@Albirew Happy to help, good luck on your journey!
@LilyKuroShiro not an artist so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but the white and green are of such a similar hue/brightness that they blend together and the transition is a bit blurry to my eyes, especially in the hair. I think it would look better if the two tones were a bit more distinct, or if there were some lines or shading to emphasize the border between the colors.

@Albirew streamlabs has a pretty decent article on it.

Personally I would suggest starting with making a character and getting a static image, or a few, and streaming with that before commissioning an artist for a full rigged model (or while you wait, it can take quite a while).

Using a free model is also an option. @/ironmouse started with a free facerig model; you gotta start somewhere.
