Typical Northwest software guy. I like Debian and Postgres.
@LisaKalayji I had tile/Life360 working fine on Graphene in a non-root Google Play enabled account.
@briandorsey you want @josephholsten
If you guys haven't met, then you should. I am almost certain that you have both been at the same conferences in the past l.
@silvermoon82 I am going to be only slightly more ethical than your average LLM by actually TELLING YOU that I am stealing this to use it day to day...

@josephholsten so, if I make chili AND THEN place it on top of separately cooked beans... still a foul?
@robbyrussell @thomasfuchs @Schneems if I might also toss in the fact that large numbers of venues, including stadiums, don't have policies to accommodate or infrastructure to facilitate helmets. So, I really want to rent a scooter or bike, but then when I arrive, the helmet is considered a 'hard throwable'... No what? We play the game of 'what bush can I maybe hide this under till the show is over?'
I would also note: I have gotten really good at hiding bike helmets around venues...
That AI in Duolingo...
@alpha it has been my experience that either a distributed or proximate team can produce great projects, but the project has to be designed and managed in the corresponding manner. Linux kernel? Strong well known systems for distributed code authoring and management, leading to a consistent code base. Where things go haywire is "oh, we have no dev documentation and our dev VMs are a terrabyte, but hey, let's hire someone in the Central American jungle on a satellite connection..."
@aaronpriven @thomasfuchs I mean, seems like something AI would be good at...
@zenspider @alpha this plus the boundaries talk: https://www.destroyallsoftware.com/talks/boundaries
Changing to that more functional style lines up my reboot notes with the code... It just really brought everything together for restarting stuff.
