My Name is Charlie (kf5kwf) I have been licensed since 2011. I am 52 years old Married with a couple of grown kiddos. I also love telescopes and play around with Astrophotography a lot. I am a retail manager from various different companies. Harbor Freight Tools is where I currently work.

#GoBox #hamradio My my very simplistic go box I have been working on. tyt9800 2m 70cm 6m and 10m fm radio and a mini cb radio in the box also. I believe in keeping cb radios around in case someone is in need and that is all they have. capability for gmrs and murs in the tyt also. I have my signalink usb in there as well for winlink vara fm connections. I so far have built 2 meter dipole and a gmrs slim jim to go with this and a battery box with 28ah and also a 100ah battery for it

@jeffluszcz this is kinda where i am with it right now. I also have a box with 4 7am lipo4 batteries and a solar charge controller in it. i have a seperate 100ah battery if needed. I have a 50 watt solar panel right now waiting on a new line to come out before buying a folding panel. if using at home i have 1200 watts of panels I can use.

@jeffluszcz have 2 antennas built so far a 2 meter vertical dipole and a slim jim made from ladder line for gmrs. got to work on 10m and 6m and cb band antenna. probably will ignore 6 meter not sure it will be useful in a situation where i need this box

@jeffluszcz mine is just in a pelican style case . got a tyt9800 in there that can do 6m 10m 2m 70cm all fm, it can also do murs and gmrs. I also have a cb radio in it. I have my signalink in it for doing fm winlink. A also put an old gps that does not use cell network and a pocket SW radio in it for now, to listen to hf stuff. Also a programmer for my ht radios in there and I am working on getting sdr going on my surface and also an android tablet . it is ugly but works.
