Either something's up with Winlink or someone hacked my account? My password is changed and my recovery email isn't set up. I don't recall changing my password and no way I wouldn't have a recovery email set. Weird?

I've been using Claude Cowork to help me map out the Minnesota packet radio network. I got tired of manually looking up callsigns on QRZ so I had Claude make an MCP server for QRZ and it works pretty well! I pushed it to GitHub because why not:

Aaaand tonight I made it to Minneapolis from Duluth in 5 hops! Lots to discover and explore.
I always forget how much fun listening to 7.200MHz is.
So far I think I have northern Minnesota mapped out. Can’t seem to get further south than Askov. I did manage to connect from Duluth>maple>cornucopia (across Lake Superior) > grand marais (back across Lake Superior)! Pretty fun!
I finally got my Kantronics KPC-3+ hooked up to its own Alinco DR-135 and a raspberry pi. I officially have a dedicated packet node! I'm starting by just bouncing around the Minnesota packet network, not really knowing what I'm doing but just getting a feel for it. Fun so far! I can really see the advantage of this old-school, hardware only network.

I will not verify my identity or age for any online service, other than clicking on an "I am over 18" button, ever. I will simply stop using the service, if it is required.

I encourage you to do the same. It's not "for the children". It's to harvest even more information from you so corporations can try to squeeze even more money out of you and to be able to track you and everything you do.

Well, Winter Field Day is over and I had a ton of fun.

It was the perfect wrap for a week of vacation, during which I also tested for and passed my exam for my upgrade to Amateur Extra.

I even got to pick up a few QSOs for WFD down in the formerly "forbidden" sections of the bands by appending "stroke alpha echo" to the old callsign. Good times!

Thanks @WFDA for reminding us what 100w and a wire can do :)

"β€œThe arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”"

Words to remember even if, right now, the universe seems to be bending toward evil and chaos. I want to ignore the horrors of the global stage and focus on the local. What else can I do except to register my opposition and move on? I feel helpless. Lisa and I will go to the protests, again. We will vote in November. But I feel impotent in the face of this unchecked and corrupt government.

Yep. Pluribus is 100% a ham radio show.
