Jake KF0AREI finally got my Kantronics KPC-3+ hooked up to its own Alinco DR-135 and a raspberry pi. I officially have a dedicated packet node! I'm starting by just bouncing around the Minnesota packet network, not really knowing what I'm doing but just getting a feel for it. Fun so far! I can really see the advantage of this old-school, hardware only network.
So far I think I have northern Minnesota mapped out. Can’t seem to get further south than Askov. I did manage to connect from Duluth>maple>cornucopia (across Lake Superior) > grand marais (back across Lake Superior)! Pretty fun!
Aaaand tonight I made it to Minneapolis from Duluth in 5 hops! Lots to discover and explore.
