@windsheep I think a professionally managed (IX connection, power and cooling) basement with own hardware and software stack and trained OPS people who have budget is the solution :-)

Hi @cipherboy, I'm currently working on an s3 product wich uses the transit engine for sse-s3 as key backend. Which is working quite well with openbao. I now got the request that the keys should be stored in a kmip compatible key store. Do you if it's possible to use openbao proxy with transit engine and proxy the keys to a kmip kms?
