@liztai While the TransLash podcast often deals with heartbreaking injustices against the guests/ subjects, it always adopts a positive, affirming attitude. Also, the host, Imara Jones, is irrepressible, and there's always a section called Trans Joy which is pure positivity. As a whole, it's inspiring.

Just saw someone advocating progressive movements organize on the Fediverse.

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL ABOUT SAYING STUFF LIKE THIS.

-Most fediverse tie-ins are not architected to protect you. For instance, Mastodon Direct Messages are not encrypted and admins can access them.

-Most instances are hosted by ordinary people who don't have the time, knowledge, or resources to fight subpoenas in either criminal or civil actions.

Meet here. Support each other. Cheer each other on. Show solidarity, and elevate and amplify each other.

Organize in much more restricted environments, like end-to-end encrypted messengers like Signal.

@iSabreman When I cancelled I got a call from the Get Them to Resubscribe Team, offering an admittedly sweet deal, which I still refused. The agent got irate, started ranting down the line at me. How can I refuse this offer and leave Virgin? Dude, you're your own answer.

@gamer In a similar vein, when my kids coax me into Roblox to admire their doodads, my phone gets scorchingly hot within a couple of minutes. And it sure doesn't look like it's pushing my phone as hard as, say, Alien: Isolation. So what the hell's it doing?
