I very much enjoy reading François Truffaut when he writes in his own voice.
Pictured, the opening of Who is Antoine Doinel, his introduction to Four by Truffaut, translated by Helen G Scott.
A book which has travelled from that front room to this. My grandmother's prize from boarding school, "St. Anne's Convent Camp Hill, Birmingham; Prize awarded to Miss Theresa Healy, Order and General Good Work,," later inscribed with her married name and address, "Theresa M Walsh, 11 Enda's Rd, Galway."
