DAY 30 THEME: Giant Animals
This movie is totally bonkers, but that makes it great. Holds up pretty well due to the creative cinematography and surreal atmosphere. The acting isn't too bad either. Better than we were expecting. 4/5⭐️
I forgot today was Halloween because I've been having a migraine episode for several days. Guess I'm a 'NASA employee' today, though not really much of a stretch since we do work with them. Lazy costume is lazy.

America made a similar film, called "The Day After (1983). Haven't seen that one.
Also learning that Kansas City had a simulated nuclear attack in the 50s. Wild stuff.
"Lastly, a controlled blast simulating a Soviet hydrogen bomb was detonated along the Missouri River just east of the Armour-Swift-Burlington (ASB) Bridge at 2:30 p.m. The explosion produced a mushroom cloud that rose about 2,000 feet above the riverbank."

DAY 19 THEME: WAR
Incredibly grim documentary-style film about a hypothetical nuclear holocaust in Sheffield, England. Surprisingly good cinematography and practical effects for the time. Hauntingly graphic nightmare fuel.

On 3 March 1876, large hunks of flesh fell from the sky over Olympia Springs in Bath County, Kentucky. According to a New York Times article published the following week, the phenomenon occurred right nearby the house of one Allen Crouch, whose wife was outside making soap when it happened.
We need to create a word, or phrase, or a universal "law", to describe how objects you drop always roll underneath furniture, or all the way to the other side of the room. Like, why tf can't things just drop straight down and not disappear?
