Instead of templates and constexpr like in C++ I really wish a language handled compile-time / run-time differentiation by just, initially running as an interpreter and then being able to say `compile(my_main, output_filename)` to compile a snapshot of the current state, where `my_main` will be called next with the command line args. Do any existing languages do that?
@patrickmcurry yeah it's interesting in the software industry we often talk about code "ownership" as who has taken charge of something / chooses to be in charge of something even when it's the shareholders who legally own the IP
