I saw Ape use it in a review of the Gabil GRA-7350TC. YouTube sent me down a vertical antenna rabbit hole by showing me that video.

After looking at different base coil antennas, it dawned on me that I rarely go lower than 20m so I didn't really need a coil because the 17' is long enough to be a 1/4 wave resistant antenna.

Most of the POTA parks around me don't really have a place for me to set up my station on a picnic table. They're mostly parks with a parking lot and hiking trails.

I finally pulled the trigger on a 17' whip to do 20m-6m. I picked up a mag mount and a ground spike. We'll see how that works out.
