Today, I saw "Ghostwatch" (1992) at the Broadway.

A review of Ghostwatch (1992)

Seeing it on a big screen kinda takes away a tiny bit of the eerieness you get from watching it on a TV, but, at the same time, you get to see more and more, all the times things appear, all the cats howling in surround-sound, all the terror and screaming. I was a cynical little so-and-so when it was Halloween 1992, a smart-ass 15-year-old, watched Twin Peaks and horror movies and all sorts of things, but, man, if I had seen this live, I would've been delighted. DELIGHTED.

Blog Post! Where I have a cold, animations are annoying, but upscrolling yellow text is always a nice thing to have.

Learning Web Development, Day 3 — Build Simple Web Animations

Where the animation is annoying, the code is too damn long, but then the ability to do a slow upscrolling crawl of yellow text suddenly gets to me.

Blog Post! Where I actually learn about modern CSS, make the same joke twice, and then can't remember where this image of Nicholas Cage comes from.

Learning Web Development, Day 2 — Style Your First Website

Where I go through the history of my mid-00s CSS knowledge, and get amazed at what can be done with more modern CSS. Shut up, it's modern to me, okay?

I've been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons for nearly six years and I've only just recently found out that you can "turn on" the projector screen and actually make my movie theatre look cooler. What.
Blog Post! I'm not learning Python any more – I'm learning Web Development! So expect a lot of bad memories and even worse code.

Learning Web Development, Day 1 — Build Your First Website

Where we go in a slightly different direction, focusing on how to build a web site in an hour. Mmmm, plain HTML, my favourite meal.

Also, apparently, Oscar Jaenada has starred in not one - but TWO - Spanish-language Disney shows for kids where he's an eccentric explorer.

Oh no, I am so going to get hooked on these, aren't I.

Today I watched "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" (1954) on Disney+

A review of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)

Sometimes you're doing sailor drag and you remember a song you kept on singing when you were a kid, and you then have to watch the entire film again, and oh I swear on my tattoo, I still love it. I love the bombastic soundtrack. I love James Mason talking. I love Peter Lorre. Hell, I even love Kurt Douglas's swagger. I love so much about this ridiculous movie, and I can only imagine what it was like to see it on the big screen, all technicolor and dramatics.

Blog Post! Classes, Objects, the beginnings of a "The Wicker Man" text-based game, and a shiny certificate.

Learning Python, Day 13 — Classes and Objects

Classes, objects, Summerisle villagers, Officer Howie, and the end of this course. What's next? Who knows.

And it is DEFINITELY high time I did something with the current pile...
As an example of the kind of nonsense I can get up to with a pile of Fortean Times...
