Attempted to swallow a powder-filled capsule maybe 15 minutes ago. Apparently got it caught in the back of my throat without swallowing it fully. Just burped a powdery cloud.

@kat “Now, Kat. You know that cyclops tree isn't real.”

Cyclops tree: 👁️

Mom, the cyclops tree is *looking* at me and it won't stop!
Ah yes, the two genders: original and Flamin' Hot.
It is difficult to practice doing the right thing here, because I generally don't have multiple spotters to call on and there are only so many times per week I can go heavy! (My preferred meet strategy is simply to not miss attempts, but, well.) But clearly I need to practice failing more.
Doubly frustrating because I've been rehabbing a shoulder injury since last fall and this is my first competition since last summer; if I want to go to nationals this year I'm running out of chances to get a qualifying total (there are no more nearby meets and only a few dates I don't have conflicting commitments before the cutoff).
Failposting: I competed in a powerlifting meet today and got DQed. Hit my 1st squat attempt, would have set a state record on my 2nd attempt, but just couldn't make it up on my 3rd attempt (which should have been solid, but today was not the day). Panic brain started to dump it off my back (like I would usually do in the gym, generally the safe way to bail) before rational brain could remember to signal the spotters to take it, which is a safety issue and a meet DQ, not just a missed attempt.
(P.S. about that retoot, if you go to Creative Commons office hours this is mostly going to be me, with the occasional special guest, doing my best to answer your licensing questions on the spot)
