Feeling gutted about G+, my online home for more than 7 years. I won't go back to FB... I signed up for Mastodon in August but didn't engage (it seems very Twitter-like, and Twitter is not my medium of choice). Maybe enough G+ refugees will end up here? Does this medium support long, involved discussions?

@lauren Lots of fond memories trying to work out what the result of folding the cover would be before I gritted my teeth and did it as gently as possible (my upbringing to NEVER damage pages of books or magazines was strict!).
Snappy Answers was always one of my favourites.

@thebestpatrick I'll spend more time here and get familiar with the content, tone and flow. I want an online space for ideas and discussions and information, not baby pics, kitten videos, food porn, and badly-researched and spelled memes. (Full disclosure, there's a place for the first two... 😀 )
