I am passing out from food coma
my dinner plate got knocked on the ground and I was so mad about it I overate the rest of the food I cooked and now I have Hurty Tummy truly I am living with the consequences of my actions
this film changed me as a person when I was a child and not in a good way
watched the gumby film with friends and am unhappy to report it's an even worse fever dream than my jumbled childhood memory of it was
@amorphophalex the experience I had with the suburbs is that the illusion of safety is so intense that a lot of people actively make themselves unsafer, I had neighbors who left their houses and cars unlocked when my parents lived in the suburbs

I went into more detail on Twitter but basically my apartment gets confused with theirs on a regular basis by the mail system because the numbering of our apartment buildings is a bit odd and no one looks at the actual building number above the door and now emergency responses is confusing it too

@alexlaw on a related note I feel like an aspect of this argument that was always left out was how the media depictions of “not like other girls” were always just as much a male fantasy as the “other girls” were, manic pixie dreamgirls and such, but those kinds of feminists always wanted to blame the “not like other girls” girls for that aspect of how they were depicted over questioning WHY they were depicted that way and to whose benefit
