Why can you no longer close a document without saving in Word? Now, you can only save or cancel. There is no discard option anymore. The only way to do this is to quit Word, and then there is a discard option.

Is this because MS wants you to save everything to OneDrive so it can scan it for AI training?

Not everything needs to be saved. Sometimes its scratch docs.

Safari seems to get worse with every single update. On Safari 26.2 on Mac, start a web video from a site like YouTube, and then close the tab. The audio keeps playing! Since the tab and window are closed, there is no way to stop it unless you force quit Safari and restart it. Safari is obviously not unloading closed tabs and windows now. I can duplicate this every single time.

When dark mode is on, Safari and the keyboard often launch in light mode and then quickly switches to dark mode, causing a very annoying flash and inconsistency in the system UI. Bug.

Neither of these things used to be an issue in previous releases. Apple’s OSs are just bug riddled. (2/2)

The software quality on iOS 26 and macOS is really bad. It’s riddled with bugs.

My iPad Pro has the sound completely muted, and yet web videos in Safari are playing with sound. There is no way to mute this or change the volume (because the system already has the volume turned all the way down). Moving the system volume up and back down does nothing. Had to restart the iPad. Bug. (1/2)

I really don’t understand how Apple’s software QC has gotten this bad. Does no one test these things before release? 26.1 Beta 2 was perhaps the most stable release I’ve experienced since the 26 series started. Then beta 3 comes along. This is beta 3, of a point release that should be fixing the bugs from the .0 release. (3/3)
The on-screen keyboard won’t activate at all. You can’t type in anything, in any app. Text is overlaid on screen. There seems to be a bad memory leak that makes the whole OS (especially Safari) non-responsive. And you can’t seem to swipe up from the bottom most of the time to change apps or go home (it works intermittently). The iPad is now unusable until these things get fixed. (2/3)
iPadOS 26.1 beta 3 (released today) might be the worst beta I have installed on my device, and that’s saying something. (1/3)
The new muted color scheme in iOS 26 Reminders looks really washed out. It’s not vibrrsnt at all.

I spent six months with Apple starting last October to get this fixed on iOS 18, and after referring to engineering, I never heard any response. It just started working again back in March or April, after not working for six months. I’m not doing that again. Apple Support provided zero support.

Apple’s products are just broken now, increasingly so. And it seems to get worse every single update. (2/2)

Almost exactly a year since Safari cloud bookmark syncing broke (after the iOS 18 update), it’s broken again. Bookmarks are no longer syncing between Mac and iOS devices. This joins the cloud tab listing, which has been displaying incorrect tabs (some closed over six months to a year ago) since late in the iOS 26 beta-cycle.

So now Safari clouding syncing is just broken all around. (1/2)
