iPadOS 26.1 beta 3 (released today) might be the worst beta I have installed on my device, and that’s saying something. (1/3)
The on-screen keyboard won’t activate at all. You can’t type in anything, in any app. Text is overlaid on screen. There seems to be a bad memory leak that makes the whole OS (especially Safari) non-responsive. And you can’t seem to swipe up from the bottom most of the time to change apps or go home (it works intermittently). The iPad is now unusable until these things get fixed. (2/3)
I really don’t understand how Apple’s software QC has gotten this bad. Does no one test these things before release? 26.1 Beta 2 was perhaps the most stable release I’ve experienced since the 26 series started. Then beta 3 comes along. This is beta 3, of a point release that should be fixing the bugs from the .0 release. (3/3)
