#askatp I was considering buying the MacBook Neo but then wondered what I could get used in the same price point. I asked my LLM of choice this question and got the MacBook Pro M1 or M1 Pro for an answer. Assuming my budget is $600-$700 would you recommend the MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14” in 2026? For context I am a live sound engineer and I would use it to record and edit audio primarily, maybe some light video editing.

@RecDiffs @hotdogsladies @siracusa Also on the topic of ‘who are they talking to’ I worked with a guy who was on the phone all day with his wife. She lived in Colombia and it didn’t effect his work but I was blown away that anyone could be on the phone that much
@RecDiffs @hotdogsladies @siracusa when you were talking about people in public talking with their phones on speakerphone, I was surprised you didn’t mention or have noticed people who walk around on FaceTime. Maybe not quite the same because most of the time they used headphones. I lived in Boston for 5 years and saw this constantly.

@hotdogsladies one of my favorites, though agree with all your points. It is also one of the few whose story is very close to the book. Connery plays him a little different but if you’ve never read Ian Fleming then this is a pretty fair representation of the novels. In my opinion
