@gorskon Of course you’ll do what you feel is best, but for whatever it’s worth: I won’t do Twitter because I don’t want to be counted when advertisers decide whether to pay a guy who posts Nazi memes. And I won’t do BlueSky because Dorsey’s funding the 3rd party effort that seeks to throw the election to Trump. Just my own thoughts.
@rbreich I don’t favor the one-sidedness of this take, at least without more information. I’d like to know how many employees of startups and other small to midsize companies had their payroll tied up in SVB. (This in no way excuses the awful opposition to student loan forgiveness and anything else that might give the middle and working class a leg up.)
Scott Adams’ routine: feel yourself getting inadequate attention, so troll hard, and then wrap yourself in a mantle of victimhood and cry censorship when people react — is so painfully obvious and predictable of a grift that it’s appalling that people fall for it.

Good for him for checking himself in and for being open. Openness on this saves lives. Silence and shame kill.

@TheRaDR Like much of what passes for Christian belief these days, the roots of that slur can likely be traced to Paul, the marketing genius who spread Jesus to the non-Jewish world. (He likely also fostered the misogyny - reputed to have a bad skin condition, was probably an incel.)
@rbreich They’re fighting the last war. Why is Trump cozying up to Nazis? Because they’re the ones willing to take up arms on his behalf, in the states if necessary.
@gorskon Just trying to find my turbo to see whether it has cancer.
