@MylesRyden@tinyspheresof I'm not so sure, either, and see it the way Myles does. There's a fan video you can dig up that shows the incident from nearly head on, and it really looks like MVDP ran Degenkolb off the road/into the crowd.
@MylesRyden@bananawatch As impressive as MVDP's ride was, the win was anticlimactic. But the women's race? AWESOME!!! 10-second gap with 10k to go, and you still hold off the peloton? Incredible.
@MylesRyden To me it's clear he was at fault in the Degenkolb crash. He tried to shoot a gap that his teammate rapidly closed, and instead of backing a bit and trying again later he pushed Degenkolb into the crowd and a crash. It felt akin to a sprinter riding a rival into the barriers.
