This (last) years #AI #research project:

Classifying bat calls using sound snippets, with 95% accuracy!

Using ResNet50 gets you to 96%, which is actually a lot better than it sounds, especially for under-represented classes.

This is largely based on work of my prof et al. Our contribution is improving the hyperparams of their simplest model, making it competitive when trained on large data sets.
