Six years ago today, a man armed with a shotgun entered the Capital Gazette newsroom in Annapolis, MD, and shot multiple journalists, media workers.

Five people were killed in the attack, and two others were injured.

It was the deadliest single attack on journalists in U.S. history.

The irony is not lost on me that the Internet Archive went out of its way to acquire the physical versions of millions of books and loan them out carefully and in a limited way, and is facing a near-extinction-level event over it, while for-profit and VC-backed companies are just stealing people’s content and making up excuses to validate the bad behavior.

This week in #FDroid was published again  

In short:
- Mumla was updated, but also the developer seeks helping hands
- Nekogram X was updated after some hiatus
- Plexus can now be built reproducible. This also means that you need to re-install it to get future updates
- SimpleX Chat got an update
- and also Termux got an update again after 2 years
- Just Craigslist and Syphon were removed
