What’s insane is even with all the charges and things Trump has done, he is still the republican front runner. And to be honest, will probably beat Biden. Gonna be a rough next 5 years.
Just finished rewatching “The Newsroom” for like the 5th time. What an amazing show. I wish the quality of TV was near that level today. Olivia Munn’s performance stood out to me this rewatch. Sloan was such a great character.

I know people don’t want to hear this but the reason people are having such a hard time with Twitter is that there is no better option. The people we want to follow are still on Twitter. The brands are still there. And even those who swore it off and moved to Mastodon, guess what; they’re still on Twitter.

I’ve been on Twitter for over 14 years now and I want to switch but only if the people and interests I am into are available easily somewhere else.

Try searching for anything on Mastodon. 👎🏼

Special shoutout to all the firefighters this weekend having to respond to people celebrating America with fireworks.

It’s super privileged to tell people to “simply stop using Twitter.” People who rely on mutual aid can’t do that here due to much smaller reach (and sometimes even server rules). People have life-saving community on Twitter that doesn’t exist elsewhere.

Ever try sharing a Mastodon link to someone who isn’t a user? It’s a garbage experience and if you run a business or something Mastodon is not the place.

Stop putting the onus on marginalized people to make your platform succeed, that’s a garbage take!!!!!

i'm really sad about twitter. i know it's been bad but i used to live there

What happened to #Twitter and now #Reddit is an urgent reminder that we need to embrace #Indieweb principles if we want to preserve Internet communities and free flow of information.

@gruber

Can Apple Vision Pro support multiple users or are we going to have the same issue the iPad has had for over a decade with the lack of multi-user support?

Leaving Reddit was a difficult decision but with more and more news coming out about the whole Apollo situation, I am glad I did it.

I've been wanting to spend less time on social media anyway.

I don't think I have the resolve to delete Twitter though. It's really the only service I've used daily since 2009. I don’t know if I can let it go.
