Look, the formula for #Eurovision is clear. Get yourself a bloke who looks like Jesus, sings like God, and has (co)written himself a cracking song. (If he’s also a great bloke and a vegan to boot, that probably won’t hurt).

Always mad to think that in an alternative universe where, instead of coming third from bottom, we won the 2016 #Eurovision Song Contest held a few weeks before the #brexit referendum (or even just did well), the vote would likely have gone 52%/48% the other way.

@scimon Yeah, that’s a bit Nexus like. Nexus is granted near God like powers by an alien called the Merk, but in return the Merk forces him to assassinate war criminals and the like.

Have realised that I perhaps need to clarify that the "Nexus" in my pseudonym comes from my favourite comic book character, and not from Alex Blechman's fictional SF novel, "Don't Create The Torment Nexus".
It all seems a little dark now, which I realise is a curious thing to say about a character whose origin tag line is: "Nexus dreams of mass murderers, and when he wakes, he is compelled to seek them out and assassinate them."
