@Popehat I’m so curious to see how The Discourse on Mastodon develops. How much of Twitter become the hellsite it is can be traced to algorithmic pressures that elevate some of the worst forms of speech, and how much is just… a critical mass of people inevitably having some awful tendencies? I think more of it is the former, but I’m curious to see how this federated approach is different.
