What does it take to conclude that socioeconomic status is a factor in determining management decisions, outcomes, in critical care. What is «reasonable» in controlling for confounding, and what simply masks the effects of poverty by supposing that other risk factors are distributed equally. Any good pointers, @iwashyna?
