Well, it has been a week in #Charlottesville and there has been no #USPS mail delivery in my part of #Belmont. The incorrectly delivered mail from last Tuesday is still in the box. A mail truck stopped on the street several evenings but only delivered packages, no mail. What to do?

I'd hoped to get some local feedback on mail deliveries in the area, but no responses. Is it just my route or more widespread?

That incorrectly delivered mail I put back in our box Tuesday night is still there with my note and the flag is still up. I did see the mail vehicle in the area late Thursday, but it looked like he was delivering to just some addresses. It is likely that was just package deliveries.

Does #USPS actually make daily deliveries in the rest of #Charlottesville ? Here down in the 'waller it is rare. Tuesday (the first delivery since Thursday) my box was full of other peoples' mail delivered well after dark including some that I know have moved and left a forwarding order.
Construction progresses.
Folks in the 'ville seem to be planning French toast for the next few weeks. This observation and opinon comes from a quick visit to the grocery store this morning. Eggs, milk, and bread seemed to be very popular.

Allow me to introduce myself. I've been a resident of Charlottesville, Virginia and surrounding counties for more than 50 years. I've worked in academia, manufacturing, and the gig economy (live sound). I've got a very liberal outlook on the world. At present I'm living in the Belmont area but hope to move back to my rural property in Albemarle and to spend the rest of my retirement years there.
