I don't know what if anything will ever replace what Twitter was.

@jeffjarvis hey man, I saw your tweet referenced in an article pushing back on the open letter to pause development on AI software.

I agree that some of the names on the list raise my suspicion (Elon Musk, Andrew Yang as examples)

However, others like Steve Wozniak and Tristan Harris seem to be good faith actors.

I think the letter is largely an empty gesture as the cork is already out of this bottle. Curious as to your reasons for opposing it so unilaterally.

This belongs in a class I like to call "indie worries," i.e., not on everyone's radar, but those who know are, all, like, uh, this is an actual problem, hello
