Since there's been a lot of snow on the ground for almost two weeks straight, I've discovered we live on a deer super highway. They routinely stop to munch on the conifers in the yard.
An Eastern Newt in its red eft juvenile stage. It rained yesterday in #westernmass. I just read that in this stage, they are actually toxic. It was so tiny. Maybe only a little over an inch long (2-3cm)
