This really makes me wonder whether the missing VFX shots were actually just plain not created at all for the rerelease, as opposed to these just being the wrong files.

I hope this email finds you before Butch gets a chance to look.
That dynamic island is looking a bit lower than the ones on existing phones… How much usable UI space will that cut into?
There’s a lot wrong with this page, but it really seems like bottom-sticky elements are just not a good match for Safari 26.
@siracusa Just read the ā€œyou have selectedā€ content that’s shining through.

omfg the font used in this famous anti-piracy campaign used a pirated commercial font.

Today Melissa Lewis over on BlueSky pointed out that the font used in the infamous "You wouldn't steal a car" anti-piracy campaign was actually designed by Just van Rossum, whose brother, Guido, created the Python programming language (https://bsky.app/profile/melissa.news/post/3ln7hx5rhcj2v) She also pointed out that the font had been cloned and released illegally for free under the name "XBAND Rough". Naturally, it would be hilarious if the anti-piracy campaign actually turned out to have used this pirated font, so I went sleuthing and quickly found a PDF from the campaign site with the font embedded (https://web.archive.org/web/20051223202935/http://www.piracyisacrime.com:80/press/pdfs/150605_8PP_brochure.pdf). So I chucked it into FontForge and yep, turns out the campaign used a pirated font the entire time! šŸ“Ž

@rizzi Hi! Maybe I'm missing this, but is there a way to increase the font size of the list in Reeder on Mac? I find it pretty tough to read at the default font but can't find any controls for it. Thanks!

Before crowbars were invented, crows would drink at home.

The local crowbar was shut down because of all the murders.

Police are still investigating the caws.

@Iconfactory still loving Tapestry! Would it be possible in a future update to increase the number of lines for media previews (at least for Bluesky and Masto)? I’m finding that almost all quote posts wind up being truncated, and I’d rather not leave the app just to read the contents of the quote.
@chockenberry Congrats on Tapestry! It’s fantastic! Especially with Fontcase + custom fonts. One extremely tiny stupid request: I wish we could use fonts without italics. I wouldn’t mind fakes/obliques if it means we can use fonts that don’t have them natively.
