Another casualty of Mayor Lurie’s last-minute micromanagement in adding a left turn phase to Valencia at 17th, 21st and 23rd: The signals have lost their leading pedestrian intervals.
LPIs improve safety by letting peds/bikes go first, with 3-7sec of walk light before green light. Just added a few years ago as a state-funded safety improvement, they’re gone now.

We have no idea what this will actually contain so I'd suggest bringing a sign with a clear message that you support like "Vision zero means zero" or "every traffic death is a policy choice" or "Fix Our Streets now, no more delays" (maybe too wordy but you get the idea)

I still think the most under-reported, most holy shit tech story of the last 5+ years is how good e-bikes have gotten and how much more affordable a decent e-bike has become.
E-cars and trucks are a nice change but mostly meh. E-bikes, tho? They are magic.
They deserve subsidies and way more press attention.
