@snafu yes, that is often the case. The last 2 Signal revisions contained many refactorings which cause a lot of work for Molly.
DinoGood morning @Mer__edith . It appears (but we're not sure this is the case) that Signal has now started using Play App Signing for Android, which effectively lets Google manage the signing key for the app and forced Android Play users to trust that Google won't deliver a modified app to them.

Great news! You can now receive generic activity notifications when the app is locked with your passphrase.
