Remembered this morning Tagore's song, "ekla cholo re", and was struck again by its power.

"Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe, tobe ekla cholo re!" If others hear your voice but ignore you, then GO--go alone.

Tagore's own free translation to English:
If they answer not to thy call walk alone,
If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall,
O thou unlucky one,
open thy mind and speak out alone.
