@mikegalsworthy There are too many change stories, positions that have changed to warrant a more serious and in depth investigation here. At the absolute least the British taxpayer should get back the money if the PPE didn’t meet the spec and was unusable. Those involved - where it is appropriate should be brought to account and Michelle Mone brought before the Standards Committee if that applies to the HoL.

@RichardJMurphy I think the problem is that the government are trying to confuse the electorate. As has been said further down the thread, of course inflation will be much lower in 2023 when measured against this year’s spike. However, they hope that the man on the Clapham Omnibus hear this as “prices will start going down” rather than already high prices in 2022 won’t go up quite as fast. All semantics.
