@mrtoto I don't think the people making these decisions care about the long-term sustainability of the app. As usual with political decisions, anything that happens after the next election cycle is someone else's problem.

@mrtoto The goal with these things is never to make a great app but rather to have a "safe" company take the burden of responsibility and blame for it.

@brentsimmons It's even worse if you happen to have magnetic hard drives attached to your Mac. It doesn't show any apps until after all the drives have finished spinning up to read the index files.

@babelcarp @tea Remember also that smartwatches are determining deep sleep by correlation with movement and heart rate data, not from reading the brainwaves required to accurately determine sleep phases. The results can be a good indication of how much deep sleep you’re getting compared to your regular baseline but not for absolute time values.
