@azonenberg probably not helpful but how about the kitsap air porter? Depending on where you are over here the ferry could be more convenient. If you are on BBI there is BI Ride but it looks like it’s only available when the busses are not running. In north Kitsap Kingston Ride is available in many areas and goes to the ferry terminal. I was surprised the first time I saw the little bus in my neighborhood. Super convenient. My biggest issue here is the complete lack of shoulder or bike lanes. I tend to stay the night down near SeaTac for early flights.
@recursive the current lack of poison oak has me convinced this is the best place on earth and the proper place to move to.

TIL that because the FFmpeg project has gained so much experience in hand-writing assembly code to provide huge speedups, they now are putting together a series of lessons for learning assembly:

Vibe coding is fun and all, but this is probably a better use of time!

The blue address sings are pretty familiar in Washington state. Close to a navel station makes me think whidbey island. I don’t recognize the street sign so likely not BBI. The wood pile I don’t recall seeing on BBI.

Ferry traffic is my guess for traffic. I don’t see a traffic circle ahead.

@GossiTheDog

Belarus, Burkina Faso, Cuba, North Korea, Palau, Russia, Seychelles, Somalia, and Vatican City were all left out of the “reciprocal” tariffs. A very curious club.

@robdaemon well there goes the budget. Did not see them in Lynnwood this week. I guess it’s a second trip for the week.

Crowdfunded effort (led by the awesome Cards Against Humanity folks) bought a tract of pristine land in Texas near the Mexican border a few years ago to prevent development (such as a border wall), and to leave it in a natural state.

This year, Space X unilaterally started building on the tract, without anyone's permission, causing irreparable harm to the natural state of the land. Not cool, says the owner.

Hilarity currently en-suing. https://www.cahsuesmusk.com/

Elon Musk stole your land, and now he owes you $100.

@Pandamoanimum this fills me with such joy!
@robdaemon it was an impressively entertaining storm. Closest lightning strike for us was ~4 seconds.
Amazing day on Lake Washington watching the Blue Angels practice.
