From the archive! A Look At HTMX With PHP

In this article we will look at how to get HTMX working with a vanilla PHP backend. With a few examples of the two systems working together.

This ties into a package just released that shows a lot of different examples of HTMX working with a PHP backend.

A Look At HTMX With PHP

HTMX is a JavaScript library that can be used to issue AJAX requests, create CSS transisions, and set up web sockets using HTMLThe power of HTMX is that it can be used without writing any custom JavaScript code. It works by looking for attributes in HTML tags using that information to set up events, user interaction, and send requests to a back end. The system is backend agnostic and so will essentially work with any system that can accept, interpret, and respond to the requests.

Looking for Drupal Dev Help.

One of my clients is going to be looking for a part time full-stack #Drupal developer. Probably in the 20 hour per week range to start. The company is based in San Jose, CA. Remote is fine.

You'd be working with me. It's very preliminary so I don't have anything defined to share yet. It'll be a few weeks before they'll be ready to announce anything formally. I'm just testing the waters in advance.

All experience levels will be considered. If you're on the junior side, I'll be happy to mentor and train.

Send me a DM if you're looking for a new gig or will be soon. If you have a CV, resume, or anything to share, please also include a link.

This is a really cool little module that makes module readme files visible to admins.

Now I can write README.md files inside my modules explaining how things are put together and admins can read them from within the drupal ui. Cool!

SQLite is a remarkable piece of software and I've always been curious about the system and the project. Here are several little known facts about SQLite.

I absolutely love it when #drupal module maintainers post stuff like this Views Data Export sprint recap:

I think it helps to build trust as well as self-accountability.

Kudos to Steven Jones from Computer Minds

Views Data Export: Sprint 1 Summary

As explained in the previous article in the series I've started working on maintaining Views Data Export again. I've decided to document my work in 2 week 'sprints'. And so this article is about what I did in Sprint 1. Sprint progress At the start of the sprint there in the Drupal.org issue queue

@opdavies I would be interested in that. It’s something we sorely lack right now as an agency.
@realsshrestha @stpaultim In my experience it has been a challenge to make sure sales understands what we as a dev department can do. We tackled that by opening lines of communication between the two. Lunch and learns where we show off our projects helps them see what we do. Involving a dev in the sales process as well can help manage expectations.
