@Teri_Kanefield There's a fine line between acknowledging the Dem's hand in where we are but knowing they're still the better option by a night and day margin, and leaning full on into both sides bullshit. Sadly a lot of people are doing the latter, when we need to focus on the former in a healthy way.

One thing the Republicans do well (literally the only thing) is lockstep their vote to get their people in power
then take the time to criticize how they're failing to do what their voters want. A lot of people who say they're liberal or progressive think the time to fight about the correct way to do things is in the middle of an election. No, we hold our primaries, then we all get together behind whoever the fuck wins, then we push them to do their job better once they're elected. They can't do shit if they're not in office, and they can't do shit if they won by a hair and they're always looking over their shoulder their whole term.

A perfect solution for many problems.

sometimes, it's a bit awkward to access the light fixtures, especially if they are in a bit of dropped ceiling next to the outside wall with the roof joining it. Note also, rock wool is about 17 times worse to work with than fiberglass.

Whatever came on my 1 speed schwin 60 years ago. That thing would go anywhere.
@drahardja
They would get my resignation letter by return mail.

I think the vast majority of humans simply have no idea that this is happening, or what it implies.

The temperatures of the oceans have been continually increasing, and last year reached a new high.

The thing about oceans is, you can't reverse a trend like this quickly. The masses involved are too large. Even if we flat-lined carbon emissions today, this trend would continue for decades to come.

New Record Ocean Temperatures and Related Climate Indicators in 2023 - Advances in Atmospheric Sciences

The global physical and biogeochemical environment has been substantially altered in response to increased atmospheric greenhouse gases from human activities. In 2023, the sea surface temperature (SST) and upper 2000 m ocean heat content (OHC) reached record highs. The 0–2000 m OHC in 2023 exceeded that of 2022 by 15 ± 10 ZJ (1 Zetta Joules = 1021 Joules) (updated IAP/CAS data); 9 ± 5 ZJ (NCEI/NOAA data). The Tropical Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and southern oceans recorded their highest OHC observed since the 1950s. Associated with the onset of a strong El Niño, the global SST reached its record high in 2023 with an annual mean of ∼0.23°C higher than 2022 and an astounding > 0.3°C above 2022 values for the second half of 2023. The density stratification and spatial temperature inhomogeneity indexes reached their highest values in 2023.

What Is Biochar and How Is It Used?

Biochar is a charcoal-like product that contains no petroleum. It is made by heating biomass such as herbaceous or woody crop residues, non-salvageable timber and slash, or animal manure, in a contained system. There are many potential uses for biochar including water treatment, land reclamation, and carbon sequestration. Biochar may also be used as a soil amendment for two purposes – to improve plant health and to store carbon.

I like the "stay in bed" part. Until bladder demands attention. 😆

I'll burn that bridge when I get to it.
