Say what you will about the shitty state of the world, it never ceases to amaze me that I can, within minutes, view a newspaper from March 17, 1882 chronicling Oscar Wilde's visit to the US, just because I felt like it. Library of Congress FTW. #lithistory #historyisfun

@mrdavidbacon I was curious so I just checked mine, hoping against hope for something really witty or astute, but no. Apparently the first thing I did with Twitter a full 8 months after signing up eight years ago was to tweet an incredulous comment and link to an article about women bedazzling their nether regions with Swarovski crystals.

@Lostapiarist Ugh, the fires are awful this year. Northern BC on Friday was so dark at 9:00 am I had to use my lights on my car to get to work. It's starting to feel like smoke-free summers are a distant dream.
